Stand by me

How to play "Stand by me " by John Lennon on guitar

  • Okay so the first thing you need to know is the chords Then I'll teach you how to do the Intro after
       1. The first chords is a G and strum upwards 4 times. Between each strum pause for 1 seconds.
Here if you don't know how to play a G chord

So it would be G pause G pause G pause G pause. Then Do the same strumming through out the entire song.
   2. The next chord is Em chord Play it 4 times upwards and pause.
Repeat this untill you get the hang of after you got KEEP SCROLLING.

See that chord right there. Learn it It's a C major play it a few times just to get the hang of it.
3, After you finished the G and Em play the C chord this time only play it 2 TIMES with the same strumming from the beginning. Play over and over unit you know how to play it all together.
OK if you are still reading this *HIGH FIVE*
4. Play a D major with the same strumming and only play it 2 TIMES.

5. Now play the G chord, BUT this time Play it 8 times

6. After then go back to Em and play it only 4 TIMES like from the beginning.Rpeat the same process over and over.

The intro is hard to explain because I can't show you so I recomand to learn it by a pro but this is how I do it.

Low E string 3rd freat  pick once.  A string 2nd freat pick once then D string 3rd freat pick twice.
REPEAT THE PROCESS. PLAY THIS INTRO PART 2 TIMES.
 Then do it backwards .
